Mio Oomi (近見 ミオ Oomi Mio[?]) is an original character by Guchiry and protagonist of the song Self-Love Miniature Garden.
A girl who fell in love with “herself”.[1]
Appearance[]
Mio has short, de-saturated peach-pink hair with the back being slightly longer than the front and sides of her hair and hovers over her shoulder. She has wide pink eyes, an innocent expression and wears a matching sweater over a white dress shirt. In Abnormality Dancin' Girl, she wears a black tie in her school photos.
Personality[]
Contrary to her innocent appearance, Mio is self-centered and loves herself and her looks to the point she started hating everyone around her and especially the people who are loved more than herself.[1] Because of this, she's unable to forgive anyone.[2]
Before the events of Self-Love Miniature Garden, Mio did not have any friends. Due to no one loving her, she began to love herself, possibly as a coping mechanism from being unloved. However, after the events of Self-Love Miniature Garden, Mio begins to love herself to the point of hating other people.[1]
Relationships[]
Miya Nanamiya[]
Though they have no direct relationship, Mio despises Miya for her ability to attract attention. Unlike Sari, who is only hostile to Miya, Mio genuinely hates Miya for being loved more than her.[1][2]
Sari Sasasori[]
Mio and Sari both hate Miya which caused Sari to feel that a mutual trust has been established between them; however, because of loving herself so much, Mio doesn't understand.[1]
Toa Atogami[]
Mio and Toa are seen talking together in Abnormality Dancin' Girl. Due to the positioning of the seating in the MV, it is possible that Mio has sat in front of Toa in the past.
Etymology[]
Mio (ミオ[?]) has various meanings depending on the kanji used. Possible definitions include 美桜 ("beautiful cherry blossom"), 澪 ("waterway"), and 実央 ("fruit center").
Oomi (近見[?]) means "close view" and is commonly written as Chikami or sometimes Oumi.
Story[]
In Gods' Miniature Garden, Mio hates Miya for gaining a lot of attention, having a circle of fans, and overall being loved more than her. As Sari also hates Miya, she thinks they have both established a mutual relationship; however, Mio doesn't care or agree.
