Jinsei Owatarou

Jinsei Owatarou (人生終太郎(じんせいおわたろう), Jinsei Owatarou^[?]) is an original character by Guchiry and is the protagonist of the song Unproductive Life Plan.

Jinsei is a doujinshi novelist in her mid-20s. She is currently unemployed and is said to have never had a boyfriend.^[1]

Appearance[]

Jinsei is said to have an unkempt appearance. Her hair is long and colored black, and she wears glasses on her face. Her eyes are a rich lavender color. For clothing, she wears a black knit top and black pants.

In the Butterfly Dream album crossfade, her appearance changes slightly; her hair is a slightly lighter color, and her pants are gray instead of black.

It is also mentioned that Jinsei thinks she looks pretty good. Her face is described as average and "not ugly at all".^[2]

Personality[]

Jinsei is depressed and has a rather pessimistic outlook on life. The lyrics of her song further point out her pessimistic beliefs, as she constantly detests the Gods and questions the meaning of life and love. Her writing style tends to match up with this pessimistic personality; however, her style leans toward the fantastical side when writing about romance.

Due to her lack of social skills, she has spent her entire life isolated. Despite her negativity, deep down, she desires to love and be loved.^[1]^[3]

Etymology[]

Jinsei (人生 , Jinsei^[?]) literally means "life".^[5]

Owatarou (終太郎, Owatarou^[?]) means "the end" or "final".

When combined, her pen-name translates to "the end of life".

Story[]

When she was a student, she won a prize for her work and moved to Tokyo with aspiring dreams, but spent her days submitting her works to publishers with no success. A few years later, her life changed when she began to publish her work on the internet, and she became a well-known author and a so-called "Narou Novelist".^[1]^[2]

The title of her that successful work which made her famous is, "Chosen Guru: ~ I was doted on by a cheat priest who acted as my parent and I was doted on and praised ~" with its themes being based off Conspiracy Theory.
